What is Mental Health First Aid?
Our accredited Mental Health First Aid training helps workplaces across Queensland build confidence, reduce stigma, and better support employee wellbeing. MHFA teaches participants how to assist adults experiencing a mental health concern, whether an emerging issue or a crisis. Just as physical first aid offers immediate care for physical injuries, MHFA prepares you to offer support until professional help is available or the situation improves. Delivered by certified MHFA instructors, participants will learn to:
- Recognise early warning signs of mental health concerns.
- Respond to crises like panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, or traumatic events.
- Providing initial support and connecting individuals to appropriate professional help.
Every year, one in five adults experience a common mental health challenge. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training equips individuals with the knowledge and confidence to offer support when needed.
Like physical first aid, this evidence-based course helps participants recognise the signs of mental health issues, provide initial assistance, and guide individuals toward appropriate professional support.
