Two full months into 2023, and CEO’s and their executives are staring down the barrel of a year operating in an environment forecast to have tougher local and global conditions than last year.

Some of the more challenging conditions include:

  • The War on Talent – Research time and time again suggests the number one challenge for almost all organisations is that of recruiting and retaining talent.
  • Digital disruption – Just 44% of businesses are ready for a potential digital disruption, despite 87% of businesses believing that digital would disrupt their industry (think Kodak and Blockbuster)
  • Maintaining connection with our clients – The link between a client and a company’s values is an important aspect of branding that goes beyond the customer experience. The priorities of clients are changing and unless we move with them, clients will find a brand that will.

The economy has undergone tremendous shift as a result of the pandemic, and businesses are attempting to modify their tactics in order to maintain growth. For many this means a greater focus on becoming an organisation of choice.
